Qualifications
McWilliams qualifications were performed to comply with ASME Section XI, IWA-4461.4 and IWA-4461.4.1 (1998 edition, 2000 Addenda). This provides for pre-qualification of thermal metal removal processes, to eliminate the need for metallurgical evaluation following metal removal during production processes.
The test was run by Herquth Laboratory on September 26th, 2008. It showed a particle size of less than 30 microns that was created by this EDM process. (Ref. Lab No. 602954-602957)
